The author/design sage Lisa Przystup in her home upstate—A Tiny Tour coming next week.
Hi!! Fucking around in my closet with a new Caron Callahan shirt and an organza J.Crew dress that will make you weep. Also, below, my new 1950s coat that I found at the Chatham Antiques fair this past weekend…I’m on a big New Look/50s Dior-vibes kick, so this actually made me screech w/delight. (When I slipped it on, another woman came up to me and said, “That looks like it belongs to you.” Welp, it does now. All next week in our Fall Micro Wardrobe story…which will have two rad giveaways, too! ✨.

I mentioned last week that I’ve been helping one of our longtime subscribers here named Meghan overhaul her closet and, subsequently, reset/reframe her wardrobe after a slew of big life changes.

We’ve all been there. In between jobs, dreams, relationships, while standing on the precipice of something new, strange, and maybe SCARY. And from my experience, there is no better time to clean your closets. GET IN THERE. Go all the way in the back where you keep the “special” stuff that you’re not even sure fits anymore—literally/figuratively.

I wasn’t planning on doing a Flash Sale this week, but Meghan inspired me. Not just by how willing she was to ditch a whole lot of stuff, but also how EXCITED she was to reacquaint herself with the things she wanted to keep.

So, after our 2-hour Zoom cleaning, I dove into my own closet. As well as all the little “hidden” spots I love to squirrel shit away. My sock drawer—MADNESS—my hall coat closet, my best vintage (ie: the stuff I’ve convinced myself to keep because I’ll never find it again).

I filled FOUR IKEA BAGS of stuff. Four!! And I edited out 16 of my favorite things here, that I hope you might like and find a new life for, too.

Even if you’re not in the market for anything, let this be the little nudge to head into the back of your closet. Pull it all out. Take an hour to try on the things you’re iffy about. Decide if they’re part of this new chapter or part of an old one. Make space. Spritz some witchy lavender spray into the corners…start ANEW.

🔥 A wee refresh on our A Tiny Apt. Flash Sales rules 🔥

  1. First person to comment for something, WINS it.

  2. Limit two items per person.

  3. Get me your details, pleaseeee—Email hi@atinyapt.com once I’ve confirmed in the comments that you’ve won an item and we will sort payment/shipping, etc.

  4. Don’t forget shipping—Depending on weight, winner covers shipping up to $20 (Int’l friends, full shipping is on you, so keep that in mind if you go for something).

  5. It’s cool to be kind—Stuff goes fast, so if two people comment for something at the same time, I’ll do my best to call it fairly, and I’ll be happy to find something else from my stash for the person who didn’t win.

  6. Doing good for the doggies—We’re carving out a portion of the proceeds today to go to The Sato Project, my most favorite organization that helps rescue and rehabilitate abandoned dogs in Puerto Rico. If you want to make an additional donation you can do it right here.
