Happening NOW, (Another) Absolutely FREE Sale
Before I head to Brimfield tomorrow—to thrift with the heat of 1,000 suns🌞—I cleaned out a few tiny, perfect things I’m giving away...to you❤️.
All things A Tiny Apt. are made possible because of nature’s candy, aka: Paid subscriptions. By contributing just $5/month (that’s about one lovely cappuccino☕️), you’re playing a BIG role in supporting all the time and L❤️VE that goes into making what we hope is one of your favorite weekly rituals. From Tiny Kitchen Week and Future Cottage to epic thrifting guides and all sorts of fresh home and style stories that move and delight you—A Tiny Apt. is all about doing a lot with a little and creating space that’s truly special, no matter where you are.
If you read my little Thrifting/Life Bible that we published on Earth Day last month, you know that one of my Responsible Human Person Codes is this: When one thing comes in, another thing MUST go out. Like, asap. No bags/totes/boxes of shit piling up in corners awaiting a someday trip to somewhere…or someone.
Because today, that someone is YOU.
One of the very pure pleasures of putting this newsletter together every week is occasionally getting to give away things I love. Most of the times, those things are just ideas/really cool things to talk about, but other times it’s something rare + special that caught my eye on a trip or at a yard sale. Something I might have worn/used and treasured, and thus something I know that will make someone else LIGHT UP, too. Sure, I sell stuff (everyone should), but it’s nice to simply give things away…just because. And honestly, it’s just another way to connect with some of you over all the weird little secret things that make us happy.
So, this month’s giveaway isn’t so much weird as it is Tiny. That is literally…Tiny Things. I have a small cabinet in my bedroom where I keep incense and a Polaroid camera (for shoe boxes!) and sleep aids…and also, a mish-mash of Littles—assorted pocket-sized things like vases, scraps of fabric, jewelry, buttons, tiny towels and such that might vanish if I pack them in bigger bags for a sale or donation. And since I’m heading to the Brimfield Antiques Show/Flea Market tomorrow for a few days of walking, snooping, snacking, and YES, thrifting, I wanted to make some space, literally and figuratively😬. And well, a chair can get pretty pricey to send through the post.
From vintage rhinestone sputnik-style earrings to a trio of embroidered lighthouse tea towels (does anyone love lighthouses as much as ME?) to a vintage Polish salt shaker that/who definitely deserves a name, and I am leaving that up to one of you. Next week, I’ll be sharing all the stuff I found at Brimfield (the annual pilgrimage many collector freaks like me mark on our calendars a year in advance), and I promise the roundup of beautiful-freaky discoveries/head-exploding emojis will be worth it.
Rules of the game are the same: First person to comment gets the THING. If two people comment at the same ti❤️me, be gracious…there’s always enough to go around, and if it’s not this giveaway/sale, it will be the next one. And, if you are so inclined to kick in a donation to cover postage, I’d be grateful. Over + out…xxCb
