Short + Sweet: The Chicest Champagne Glass Ever
The final (!!!) season of Succession airs tonite, which means Champagne and pizza, which means not just any glasses, but the glasses I've been thrifting for all weekend.

I’ve been dreading and also counting the days until today would arrive, the last season of Succession, which airs tonite. I mean, nothing since Parks & Recreation could soothe me to sleep at night the way Greg can, saying things like, “What am I going to do with a soul anyways? Souls are boring…boo, souls!” And, so here we are, close to the end, knowing full well the wonder that is Kendall (boyboss jargon🔥) and Roman and Tom Wambsgans and Shiv (and her 🤔 S3/final ep. dresses) will live on in our minds and ❤️❤️s for decades to come…and lives, too (except for Greg, of course).
And so with such a mission-critical event taking place in just a few hours, and having spent all weekend working on skylight prep and gathering many, many bags o’ treasure for my tag sale with Stacy London next weekend (more details at the bottom, as well as a 🔥pre-Flash Sale🔥 Weds for Paid ATA subscribers, gosh I just love you), there will be zero time to cook.
Hence, pizza and Champagne it is.
Which brings me to….glassware. Since I’ve either inherited mine from my grandmother, was gifted a crystal cut pair from my mom (vintage Waterford✨), or thrifted the most multipurpose everyday glasses we use for water, wine, everything, I never really gave much thought to owning the right Champagne glass. That is, until I arrived at my friend’s birthday tea last weekend, where in her dining room, beside a tower of tiny cakes and the prettiest pile of tea sandwiches, there they were—a sparkling stack of old-school champagne glasses, the sun just beginning to set behind them…a vision.
Let me tell you, and this doesn’t happen that often—those glasses in that moment really made an impression on me. Even if there’s nothing I like better at a tea party than a little alcohol, but it was these shimmering glasses that upon seeing them, instantly projected a giant otherworldly image of Great Gatsby Leo in my brain, which I really did not mind either.
I mean, I worked at Gourmet magazine for four years, read The Taste of France, and I still had no idea what the name of this actual glass style was (lame). And, since I’m someone who really needs to know a little backstory of everything I’m thrifting for, this seemed like an opportune moment to find out, especially since upon some googling its clear that Shiv likes her bubbles both ways.
