I moved to the USA exactly two years ago without anything, it was my husband, our dog Archibald, and two pieces of luggage, with just our most essential pieces of clothing. The only cookbook I brought with me, and I love to collect cookbooks, is Samin Nosrat Sal Fat Acid Heat. Wherever I go, my kitchen is my favorite place to be, and cooking has saved my life. I'm still building up my kitchen, buying things slowly but surely, so I'm very much enjoying these series of newsletters. Honestly I don't know what I would do without my coffee bean grinder and French press. If I ever wake up at 5:30 am and don't have those two simple things, I free out. I not only use the French press to make coffee, I also use it to froth milk manually to make what I call "fluffy coffees" my own homemade version of a manual capuchino. French pressers make the frothiest, fluffiest milk!
