All My Tab'd Pages in the L.L.Bean Catalog

Be soothed...the siren song of crap weather is calling⛈️.

A few weeks back I posted a photo in my IG Stories that I was headed to bed with the newest L.L. Bean catalog. Not since I posted about being partial to wine bottles with screw tops have I felt so seen.

I miss catalogs. Don’t you? We don’t have nearly enough of them anymore…by THEM, I mean the good ones. And, it’s a huge bummer. I used to collect them on my bedside table and when I had at least four of the all-stars, I’d go nuts with a hot bath and a cup of ginger tea and make a night of it (I suspect many of us would need far less margaritas + Xanax if more good brands would make great catalogs). And so, when J. Crew or Design Within Reach or IKEA or L.L. Bean shows up in my mailbox—hardcore fall/winter HEFT preferred—I rejoice like a shipwrecked soul devouring a periwinkle-blue cashmere crewneck in a bottle.

Truth be told, it’s not exclusively about the clothes here…it’s just that the catalog experience adds a cellular-level of creature comfort that few things these days do…and fuck, if I won’t pay for that🧶. And, since so many of you told me you, too, not-so-secretly call it an early night with the ole Bean catalog, I wanted to share all my recently tabbed pages. Because there were a lot of them (13+ things❤️). And, too many+++ to fit here, so I’m only including the absolute Best of them. Such as the classic Ragg sweater (in the only shade to buy) that would look quite 🔥 with a modern Mary Jane; the straight-leg jeans that feel very Sofia Coppola-in-vintage-military pants-or-black-Carhartts (scroll down in this Financial Times story for sartorial evidence). There are a few more things, too…and don’t even get me started on the SLIPPERS and the silk underwear (making your dresses polar-proof🏆). And, most importantly—the coolest Lobster Pillow for under $40 that is like a little miracle of JOY (this wasn’t technically in the catalog, but as a public service, I’m including it anyway).
