I find it fascinating how even at this stage of my life—and after spending years packing for two-week-long stays in Europe jam-packed with fancy fashion Olympic-style events like this—that packing a bag still stresses me out. (There’s a scene in the movie Inside Out that demonstrates perfectly how my inner child responds whenever I am confronted with organizing myself for a weekend away… Terror! Calamity! The fetal position!)

Recently, I started packing for a road trip to see one of my oldest friends and asked one of my other wonderful friends Jen to come over and shoot some of the process. I thought it would be easy—capturing the spontaneous magic of me packing my weekend bag, while also providing a little support/advice for anyone reading this who also suffers from this very special kind of angst. And yet, when we started filming, it became clear to me that even after all those years cramming 47 fantastic outfits into a rolly bag, I still know nothing.
