Must see photo of Quan Yin statue ... My eyes have been peeled FOREVER in consignment stores. Saw one is Salt Lake City at Decades--OMG, that is a place you'd never leave, they supply vintage outfits for movies etc--but I digress, the owner would not sell. AND, the John Lennon cover, did you know he died just hours after that was taken? I always feel when I see it that it is a foreshadowing of him returning to how he began.

That ball chain necklace takes me right back to Sarah Lawrence in 1998, when we all wore them. I need to make it find another. Thanks to Jillian for the tips and to you both for the stories of great finds!

My best thrift find would be a full length black wool beaded Gene Shelly gown! It was $18. Thrifting clothes feels less fun thanks to Shein and Lularoe, so I’ve come to terms with walking away empty handed or with one or two special things.
