Thank you Christene for your always warm & sincere expression! I’ll have a listen to Dr L for sure as the free-floating angst scale has been up there 👆 this month. Mine tends to skew more on the dread track than regret & then bursts thru w impatience.. largely 🤌🏼 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼for me
Like very dramatic & cinematic
I need to just figure out what birds are chirping here in east LA & get some old movie 🎥 posters 🥰🥰
Wow! A font of info as usual. Can’t find the new book by dr Ellen langer in Canada except at my library so I have it on hold and my turn will be in a few months. But my local bookstore does have her mindfulness book (25th anniversary) so will pick that up today. Love the video with her. Very inspiring. Thank you!🙏
Hi Christene, your posts are always so beautifully timely, thank you! I appreciate learning about Dr. Ellen Langer. I sometimes feel like I live with too many regrets and it's hurting me. But I felt my shoulders relax when I read about Langer. And linens (my favorite thing to thrift!) and vintage posters. I can't wait to break out my super comfortable and cute white platform Tevas! Bring on spring.
I had a similar experience with the same Reel! I shared it with my son as he’s navigating the after-college-what’s-next phase and another friend worried she’d made a wrong choice! Love when something on social media is actually positive and helpful!
This is wonderful, Christene! Thank you so much for including the robin singing! The Merlin App is among my favorites, especially since you can identify birds by photo or by sound. So grateful for all that you share.
I guess I saw the same Reel with Dr. Ellen Langer and it made me cry immediately. So many people make life so much harder for others by always looking back and arguing about how problems would not exist now if only ten years ago one would have listened to them and decided differently! So useless and only creating same, guilt and sadness. I heard the whole podcast today and there is so much to learn and to think about. Thank you for bringing it to us!
I love Merlin ID! The Seek app is also great for identifying flowers and plants.
great newsletter! how would you say the suicoke sizing runs? the size chart on their site is a smidge confusing thanks!

What a great issue, Christene! From Dr. Langer, to birdsong to gorgeous sheets 💕

Loved that episode. If you want more, this On Being episode with her in 2017 was excellent (not just hawking OB because I consult for her! Promise). https://onbeing.org/programs/ellen-langer-science-of-mindlessness-and-mindfulness-nov2017/

Those shoes look really interesting. Have you ever tried the similar-looking ones from Sorel? Curious if they really are as comfortable as they look! https://www.sorel.com/p/kinetic-impact-slingback-heel-womens-sandal-2030481.html?dwvar_2030481_color=247&dwvar_2030481_size=8.5&ef_id=Cj0KCQjwwMqvBhCtARIsAIXsZpb2sbJPCg1cXZPkCmS2fUIdYKEhitCX5xuj66HrSh_VWMlHSLJVnvsaAss7EALw_wcB:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!13460!3!!!!x!!!19909220042!&mid=paidsearch&nid=SOR%7CPMAX%7CBrand_All_Feed_Only%7CGoogle%7CUS&eid=Google+PMax+US&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAC-uVtixMr2eulFGkmLLLpDdwTzh7&gclid=Cj0KCQjwwMqvBhCtARIsAIXsZpb2sbJPCg1cXZPkCmS2fUIdYKEhitCX5xuj66HrSh_VWMlHSLJVnvsaAss7EALw_wcB
I listened to that podcast twice... first when it came out, then a week later. So much to think about... or not think and just be.
